Sefer Evronos with Colorful Wheels. Offenbach, 1722.
This work by Rabbi Avraham Bellin Ashkenazi teaches of the calculations of the new moons and astronomy. Attached to the book is the supplement Nosen Teshua by Harav Nosson Yehohusa Kastam (Kosev Sefarim, Tefillin, u’Mezuzos), an expatriate of Hammelburg.
This complete copy features all the cycles of the new moon, including 4 turning wheels that can be used to calculate the precise hour of the molad. The wheels in this rare copy were glued to colorful paper and sewn at the center of each wheel.
Scattered throughout the book are colorful illustrations and charts. An illustrated title page exhibits the heavenly constellations and zodiac, as well as the figures of Moshe and Aharon.
