The Kozhnitzer Maggid
The Kozhnitzer Maggid revered the Maharal of Prague and lived by his lessons. In his written approbation to the Maharal’s Nesivos Olam [Nowy Dwór, 1809], he inscribed that all the Maharal’s teachings were delivered with ruach hakodesh. He introduced the Maharal’s legacy into Chassidus, and many of the righteous Chassidic leaders of Poland drew from his wellsprings of Torah.
