Handwritten and signed letter from Rabbi Yehuda Leib Chassman, mashgiach of the Chevron Yeshiva, regarding editing manuscripts for print (referring to ma’amarim of the Alter of Slabodka).

Rabbi Yehuda Leib signed his name fully: Y.H.L. Chassman

Rabbi Leib Chassman (1869-1936) was a disciple of the Alter of Kelm and the Alter of Slabodka, and was a leading figure of the Mussar movement in the past generation. He served as mashgiach of the Telz Yeshiva between the years 1897–1903. In 1926, upon the directives of the Alter, he was sent to lead as a Mussar authority in the Chevron Yeshiva. Rabbi Leib Chassman taught countless prominent students both in his yeshiva and beyond the yeshiva boundaries. He authored Ohr Yahe”l.
