Handwritten novellae from Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik Rabbi of Brisk written  on the First volume of Mishneh Torah L’Harambam.

Included in the novellae are two long comments regarding the laws of Brachos, Chapter 7, and the laws of Shabbos, Chapter 2.

Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik’s name is noted on the flyleaf as well as other owners’ signatures from members of the prominent Malin Family and other rabbis and dayanim of Brisk.

This sefer Mishneh Torah L’HaRambam is comprised of two parts, including sifrei Mada, Ahava and Zmanim.

Copies of the pages of this exact Rambam are included in the book "Rabban Shel Kol HaGolah." There, the author describes this unique Rambam learned by Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik.

Rabbi Chaim HaLevi Soloveitchik (1853-1918) was a leading Torah giant in the last generation and served as the ab”d of Brisk. His method of studying Torah was adapted by countless students and left its mark on the Torah world at large. In his sons’ introduction to Chiddushei HaGra”ch they write: “He is the man that was Heaven-sent as an angel in our generation, to open our eyes in Torah and illuminate the eyes of those learning his method…”
