First Edition “Maggid Dvarav L’Yaakov”, First Published Sefer from the Maggid of Mezritch; Koritz, 1781

Maggid Dvarav L’Yaakov containing novellae from the Maggid of Mezritch, organized and published by Rabbi Shlomo Lutzker, a relative and leading disciple of the Maggid and author of Dibras Shlomo.

In his famous introduction to the sefer, Rabbi Shlomo Lutzker gives us a glimpse of the Maggid’s greatness :    
“…Who can describe the great praise and holy virtues of the rabbi… [who performed] wondrous miracles and whose prayers and words were heard; G-d would decree and he would annul… He was humble and the fear of G-d was always upon him… .”
