The Chavos Yair signed his name and wrote several handwritten comments on Volume One (see pages 59a, 65a, 65-68).
Volume Two includes a long, handwritten comment (see page 114b).
The Chavos Yair quotes the Levush Ir Shushan in his responsa.
Rabbi Yair Chaim Bacharach (1639-1702) was the Rabbi of Wormes and Magentza. He was one of the Gedolei Achronim and his halachic decisions are widely accepted by all. He authored Responsa Chavos Yair.
