“Sefer Karnayim” with Commentary by Rabbi Shimshon of Ostrapoli;

Sefer Karnayim, an early Kabbalah sefer authored by the great Kabbalist Rabbi Aharon of Kardina, along with the “Dan Yadin” commentary from Rabbi Shimshon of Ostrapoli, and the “Parashas Eliezer” commentary from Rabbi Eliezer Fishel of Strizhov.
This edition was published in Zhitomir, 1805, just one year after the printing press was established.
There is a seal from the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Wertheim of Bender on the title page.
Rabbi Yitzchak Wertheim was the son of Rabbi Shimon Shlomo, son of Rabbi Aryeh Leib, who was a son-in-law of Rabbi Nachum of Chernobyl and the brother of Rabbi Moshe Tzvi of Savran. He served as the rabbi of Bender. Passed away in 1911.
This rare sefer is not found in the National Library of Israel.
