Halachic Response Regarding Heter Mei’ah Rabbanim from Rabbi Nachum Schlezinger, AB"D of Topoľčany

Handwritten halachic ruling issued by Rabbi Nachum Shlezinger, ab”d of Topoľčany, allowing a husband to marry a second wife without first divorcing his first wife with a heter mei’ah Rabbanim. This halachic ruling was issued since the wife had left her husband more than three years earlier and had plans to marry a gentile.


Rabbi Nachum Schlezinger was the son of Rabbi Kalev Feivel Schlezinger, ab”d of Topoľčany and author of Toras Bar Nash, son of Rabbi Nachum. He succeeded his father as ab”d of Topoľčany. He prepared for print the manuscript of his grandfather, Rabbi Yechezkel Segal of Glogau, author of Toras Yechezkel. Some of his novellae were published in Chazon Nachum. This present responsa is not printed there.
