Sofer- Ehrenfeld Families: Wedding Invitation of the Chassam Sofer’s Great-Granddaughter; Mattersdorf, 1905

Invitation to the wedding of Menachem Sofer, of the illustrious Sofer family, and Hindel Ehrenfeld of the illustrious Ehrenfeld family.

The groom, Menachem, was the son of Rabbi Fishel Sofer, ab”d of Sárvár, son of the Yalkut Eliezer. The bride was the daughter of Rabbi Simcha Bunim Ehrenfeld, son of Rabbi Shmuel Ehrenfeld, son of Rabbi David Tzvi, son-in-law of the Chassam Sofer.
The groom was orphaned at a young age and raised by his uncle, Rabbi Yosef Leib Sofer, ab”d of Paks and author of Yad Sofer. He would later serve as ab”d of Maras and Vasharheli, and authored Responsa Menachem Meishiv among other sefarim.
