"HASHEM WILL PROTECT YOU FROM ALL AFFLICTION AND SICKNESS”

Letter from the Admor Rabbi Yosef of Radville and His Son; Radville, 1853
Signed letter from Rabbi Yosef of Radville addressed to his son-in-law, Rabbi Yitzchak of Bender.

Rabbi Yosef of Radville writes: “
G-d will watch you from all affliction and sickness and effect mercy, life and peace upon you and all of Klal Yisrael.”

There are personal, handwritten letters at the bottom from his sons, Rabbi Eliezer of Radville, Rabbi Alexander Shmuel of Shinowitz and his son-in-law, Rabbi Mordechai Lerner of Sumask.

Rabbi Yosef of Radville (1818-1875) was a fourth-generation descendant of Rabbi Yechiel Michel of Zlotchov and
son-in-law of Rabbi Pinchas of Ostile. He practiced holy behaviors from a young age and frequented the court of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, who greatly praised him. Rabbi Yosef of Radville was appointed admor at the age of 17 and Jews flocked to his side. He was known as a miracle-worker and many stories about him are often repeated by Wohlin Chassidim.

Dated Radville, 1853.
