Handwritten letter from Rabbi Simcha Bunim Alter regarding the leadership of the Sfas Emes yeshiva.

The letter was written on Wednesday, Parashas Shelach, 1948 just after completing shiva for his holy father, the Imrei Emes.

Rabbi Simcha Bunim Alter (1898-1992), was a leading Admor and rabbi in the last generation. He was the son of the Imrei Emes of Gur and began leading as an Admor following the passing of his brother, the Beis Yisrael. He was a brilliant scholar and was fluent in all areas of Torah. He authored Lev Simcha.
