Sefer Ye’aros Dvash was widely accepted as a fundamental mussar sefer and studied by Jews from all spectrums.

There is an approbation from the Shaagas Aryeh at the beginning of the sefer.

Rabbi Yehonasan Eibeshitz served as the ab”d of AH"U (Altona, Hamburg and Weissenbeck). He authored Ye’aros Dvash and Urim V’Tumim.

This first edition was published in Karlsruhe, 1779-1782.
