Handwritten and signed sales contract from Rabbi Eliyahu Landau, grandson of the Vilna Gaon regarding the sales of the Shnos Eliyahu manuscript on mishnayos, tractate Shabbos.
This sales contract is addressed to Rabbi Naftali Hertz HaLevi, Av Beis Din of Yafo, and approved and signed in Jerusalem by the dayanim Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Shapira of Kovna, Rabbi Nachum Moshe Wallenstein and Rabbi Avraham Chaim Naeh.
Rabbi Naftali Hertz published this manuscript along with his own glosses in the Siddur HaGra (Jerusalem, 1898).

Rabbi Eliyahu Landau was the son of Rabbi Eliezer and great-great grandson of the Vilna Gaon. He immigrated to Jerusalem along with his father and dedicated his life to the publishing of the Vilna Gaon’s manuscripts.
In this contract agreement, Rabbi Eliyahu Landau accepts upon himself the financial cost of the paper needed in order to publish this manuscript.
