Letter from Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz
“THE ENTIRE PHYSICAL EXISTENCE OF THE YESHIVA
IS ONLY THROUGH THE NONSTOP ASSISTANCE OF OUR DEAR BRETHREN… IN AMERICA”
Emotional letter from Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz regarding the harsh physical situation facing the Kamenitz Yeshiva. He writes: “…Our yeshiva does not have a loyal base to lean upon and the entire physical existence of the yeshiva is through the nonstop assistance of our dear brethren, mainly in America.”
Rabbi Baruch Ber describes: “Our holy yeshiva now numbers hundreds of great Torah scholars from all corners of the land, among them several from Russia and Ashkenaz… who invest their days and nights in the tent of Torah. And they are destined to be from the scholars and Torah leaders of the coming generation and of the pillars of Torah.”
Written on personal stationery, the final four lines were handwritten and signed by Rabbi Baruch Ber himself.
