First Edition Birchas David by the Admor of Buczacz; Lvov, 1845

Chassidic explanations on Bereishis by the Admor Rabbi Avraham David Wahrman, Av Beis Din of Buczacz.
This first edition was published in Lvov, 1845.
Interestingly, while the title page states that this sefer was published in 1800 along with the Hebrew date of 1805, in reality, it was published later, in 1845. The reason for this alteration is likely due to strict censorship introduces by the ‘Enlightenment’ movement’s vehement opposition of the Chassidic movement during that time.

Rabbi Avraham David Wahrman of Buczacz (1771 – 1841) was a prominent Halachic authority and leading Chassidic admor of his generation. His Torah discourses would stretch for hours and his prayers would go on until midday. Similarly, shalosh seudos would sometimes only conclude close to morning. Rabbi Avraham David authored sefer Birchas David on Torah along with many other sefarim.
