Letter of Blessing from the Admor Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Twersky of Machnovka

Heartfelt letter of blessing handwritten and signed by the holy Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Twersky of Machnovka, descendant of the illustrious Chernobyl dynasty.
In his letter the Admor blesses the recipient with righteous descendants, livelihood, nachas, a good year and more.
While the letter is undated, judging by the letter’s script  it is apparent that it was written in his old age.

Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Twersky of Machnovka (1895 – 1989) was the son of Rabbi Yosef Meir of Machnovka, son of Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel Twersky- the eldest son of Rabbi Yitzchak of Skvere, son of the Maggid of Chernobyl. In 1917 Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel was orphaned of his father and accepted upon himself the Admor position upon the directive of his uncle, Rabbi David of Skvere. With the onset of the Communist regime, his was the only beis midrash to continue to function as usual until Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua’s eventual exile to Siberia. Following the war, Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel immigrated to Eretz Yisrael where he established a beis midrash in Bnei Brak and served as a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah. He passed away at the old age of 94.
