In his letter, Rabbi Menachim Manish discusses matters pertaining to his sefer Chavatzeles Hasharon Responsa.

Rabbi David Menachem Manish Babad (1868 – 1937) was the son of Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel of Střížov, son of Rabbi Chaim of Mikolinitz, brother of the Minchas Chinuch. He was Av Beis Din of Tarnopol and a prominent Galician rabbi, serving as president of the Galician Rabbis and chairman of the Rabbinic Assemblies in Krakow and Lvov. He participated as well in a rabbinical entourage to the Warsaw government, along with the Chofetz Chaim. Lithuanian rabbis were astounded by his great Torah stature and
the Admorim of Belz called him a "mezuzah" protecting East Galicia. His novellae were published in Chavatzeles Hasharon Responsa.
