Handwritten and Signed Letter from Rabbi Yitzchak Eizek of Ziditchov Addressed to the Grandson of the Noam Elimelech including Letter from His Son, Rabbi Eliyahu Eichenstein

Handwritten letter of recommendation from Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Ziditchov addressed to Rabbi Zusha, grandson of the holy Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk.

This letter was written as a continuation of a letter from his son, Rabbi Eliyahu of Ziditchov, who wrote the letter upon his father’s directive. In it, he specifies the names of the various gabba’ei tzeddaka in various cities who were looking to assist him.

Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Ziditchov (1805 – 1873) was a devout and G-dly scholar who faithfully led thousands of followers. Fluent in all areas of Torah and Kabbalah, he was known for his devoted prayers for the sake of the entire Jewish nation. His teachings were published in Likutei Torah and Shas and others .

Rabbi Eliyahu of Ziditchov (1837 – 1878 ) was the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik and the main successor of the Ziditchov approach. He faithfully served at his father’s side and tended to all his needs, concealing his tremendous greatness. This tremendous breadth of knowledge only became evident to all in his eulogy for his illustrious father. He passed away at the young age of 41. He authored Zichron Eliyahu.
