Miniature manuscript including all prayers and blessings interspersed with many beautiful and unique illustrations,
written and illustrated by the scribal artist Jacob ben Avraham in 1787.
Jacob ben Avraham was a talented scribal artist of exceptionally
original caricature style artwork. Each of his illustrations is unique and exclusive, bearing no similarity to other known artwork.
Dated Germany, 1787
The scribe signs his name on the page following the title page as well as on the colophon.
A similar work by this unique artist, created in 1785, is housed in The Israeli Museum Collection (manuscript no. 183/02).
