Handwritten and signed letter from the holy Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shimloy regarding the publishing of his treatise Lechem Shlomo.
Rabbi Shlomo writes that “had it not been for the betrayal of the publisher, it would have already been completed, ” and expresses his desire to publish his numerous other treatises that stood ready for print.
The letter is addressed to Rabbi Avraham Tzvi Friedman of New York, a disciple of the Neta Shurak and one of the leaders of the Chevras Tomchei Torah. In his introduction to sefer Lechem Shlomo, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman thanks Rabbi Avraham Tzvi for his assistance in the publishing of the sefer.

Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shimloy (1863 – 1944) was an erudite Torah scholar and rabbinic leader prior to the Holocaust. Born in Beregovo, he was raised in the courtyards of his illustrious grandfather, the Kol Aryeh. He served as Rabbi of Shimloy until his tragic murder at the age of 80, along with his community in Auschwitz, 1944.
