Autograph letter from Rabbi Yoel of Shotz (the first ) .Letter of blessing and encouragement handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yoel Moscowicz of Shotz, addressed to his son, Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Moshe of Suliţa.Rabbi Yoel Moscowicz of Shotz (1810 - 1886) was the grandson of Rabbi Yosef of Yampol, son of the Maggid of Zlotchov. He married the renowned Rebbetzin Miriam Chaya,daughter of Rabbi Meir of Premishlan, and was held in great esteem by his father-in-law. One of the first Admorim to settle in Bukovina, he had great influence on the region. He lived first in Suliţa and later in Shotz. His son, Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Moshe of Suliţa, is the father of Rabbi Shalom of Shotz – London.The majority of this rare and important letter is written in Yiddish, dated Veronivka (near Lvov) 1875.1 leaf | Very good condition | Rare | 10.517 cm
