Rabbi Yosef Meir of Spinka (1838 – 1929) was a leading Admor and a prized disciple of Rabbi Yitzchak Eizek Eichenstein of Zidichov. His breadth of knowledge in Kabbalah was legendary and Rabbi Chaim of Sanz himself posed Kabbalistic questions to him. His enthusiastic prayers were well-known and many miraculous stories are accredited to him. His novellae were recorded in the Imrei Yosef sefarim on Torah and yamim tovim.
