First Edition Tshu’as Chein by Rabbi Gedalya of Linitz, Barditchev 1816
Explanations on the parshiyos including quoted novellae from the giants of Chassidus such as the Baal Shem Tov, the Maggid, Rabbi Pinchas of Koritz and others. Authored by Rabbi Gedalya of Linitz, the sefer is replete with deep concepts.
This first edition was published in Berditchev, 1816, and includes endorsements from Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev and his son, Rabbi Yisrael of Pikov.
Rabbi Gedalya of Linitz (1738 – 1804) was one of the illustrious patriarchs of the Chassidic movement. In his youth, he was acquainted with the holy Baal Shem Tov and studied as well by the Maggid of Mezritch. His main rabbis, however, were Rabbi Yaakov Yosef of Polonne, author of the Toldos, and Rabbi Leib of Polonne, whom he mentions numerous  times in his writings, calling him the "Rav Hamochiach."
