First Edition Amud HaTorah by Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi of Rozdol; Lemberg, 1853

Kabbalistic hints and intentions for reciting the Shema authored by Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi Eichenstein of Rozdol.
Following the title page there is an endorsement from Rabbi Chaim of Sanz, addressed to his son, Rabbi Yechezkel of Rozdol , son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi. In it, Rabbi Chaim expresses his desire to see these novellae published and addresses the name of the treatise, Amud HaTorah.
The Imrei Yosef of Spinka writes in the introduction to ‘Toldos Yitzchak’ that his uncle, Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Swaliva, edited this sefer and readied it for print.
This first edition was published in Lemberg, 1853.
