Chassidic explanations on Chamisha Chumshei Torah from Rabbi Moshe Epharim of Sudilkov, known as the "Degel." Grandson of the Baal Shem Tov .

Sefer Degel Machane Ephraim is a fundamental work of Chassidus which includes important concepts from his grandfather, the Baal Shem Tov.
On page 114 there is a list of dreams of the Degel, including dreams where he saw his grandfather and his disciples.
This First edition, published in Koritz, 1810, includes endorsements from Chassidic giants such as Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, the Maggid of Kozhnitz, the Chozeh of Lublin, the Ohev Yisrael of Apta, Rabbi Chaim of Chernowitz and Rabbi Menachem Mendle of Liska.
Rabbi Moshe Ephraim Ashkenazi was born in Medzhybizh, 1748, to Rebbetzin Edel, daughter of the Baal Shem Tov. He merited to study under the tutelage of his holy grandfather who kept a close eye on his spiritual growth. In a letter to his brother-in-law, Rabbi Gershon of Kitov, the Baal Shem Tov refers to the Degel as a big prodigy.
