Letter of blessing and congratulations handwritten by the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Alter of Gur.
Rabbi Yisrael Alter of Gur (1895 – 1977) was the son and successor of the Imrei Emes of Gur. He served as the right hand of his father already in his youth and succeeded him in 1948. Rabbi Yisrael lost his entire family in the Holocaust and reestablished the Ger Chassidus in Eretz Yisrael. There, he became a leading rabbinical figure and President of the Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah. Thousands flocked to him for blessing and advice.
