Rare Only Edition Sefer Damesek Eliezer; Lublin, 1646

Novellae and explanations in practical Halacha on the entire Tractate Chulin, authored by Rabbi Eliezer Ashkenazi, Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta of Apta.
Damesek Eliezer is known for its extreme rarity. Already two-hundred years ago, the
Chida remarked that it was a ”utmost rare sefer, " and Rabbi Chaim Nassan Dembitzer later noted in his sefer Klilas Yofi, that
"Damesek Eliezer on Tractate Chulin is very rare and is now one in a city and two in a country."
This singular edition was published in Lublin, 1646.
Rabbi Eliezer Ashkenazi was a disciple of Rabbi Meshulam Feivush, Av Bies Din of Krakow and studied in his yeshiva along with Rabbeinu Bach. At the time of publishing his treatise, he was already from the elder leaders of his generation. Nonetheless, in his great humility he collected endorsements from the other leaders of his time such as Rabbi Heshil of Krakow, the Tosfos Yom Tov, the Maginei Shlomo, Rabbi Shabsi Sheftil – son of the Shelah, and others.
