Letter of response from Rabbi Mordechai Vorhand, Av Beis of Nitra, to Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch, author of Pri HaSadeh. On the back side of the letter Rabbi Eliezer responds and signs.
Rabbi Mordechai Vorhand (1885 – 1945), was the son of Rabbi Moshe Vorhand, Av Beis Din of Makova and a son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Lichtenstein, Av Beis Din of Betlan, where he served as a Dayan. He was a disciple of Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch author of Pri HaSadeh . Following his father’s relocation from Nitra to Makova, he succeeded his rabbinical position in Nitra. He perished in the Holocaust. He published Kinyan Chaddash – which includes a eulogy of the Pri Hasadeh, and Be’er Mordechai on Yoreh Dei’ah.
