Handwritten letter of Torah novellae from Rabbi Nachum Baruch Ginsberg, Av Beis Din of Yanava, responding to comments on his sefer Mekor Baruch.
Rabbi Nachum Baruch Ginsberg (1882 – 1940) was the president of the Lithuanian rabbinate and chairman of the Va’ad HaYeshivos. For seventeen years he devoted eighteen hours a day and longer to his Torah learning, and remained in close correspondence with Rabbi Itze’le Ponovizher via letters. He also visited the Ohr Sameach several times who held Rabbi Nachum Baruch in high esteem.
Rabbi Nachum Baruch’s sefer Mekor Baruch garnered world-acclaim, specifically in the Torah community. He was murdered in the Yanova Ghetto along with his community.
