Letter of blessing from Rabbi Meir Arik, Av Beis Din of Tarnow.

This postcard was sent from Vienna, where Rabbi Meir, along with many other great rabbis and
admorim of East Galicia, remained during the First World War.

Also included is a postcard from his Rebbetzin, Rebbetzin Perel Arik dated 1926.

Rabbi Meir Arik (1855 – 1926) succeeded the Maharsham as Halachic authority of Galicia and was held in great esteem by all prominent leaders of his time. He was a Chortkover Chassid and was close to the Chassidic courts of Belze as well. He passed away in his
sukkah on the 16th of Tishrei after reciting
kiddush.
Included among the many
sefarim he authored are Responsa Imrei Yosher, Tal Torah, Minchas Pittim and Minchas Kena’os.
