In his letter, the Imrei Emes inquires regarding matters of commerce and thanks the addressee for money he had sent.

Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter (1815 – 1855) was known by all as the Imrei Emes and was the third
admor of the illustrious Gur dynasty. He led his following for forty-three years, bringing the Chassidus to its peak. He was one of the founders of the Agudas Yisrael and a prestigious leaders before the Holocaust.
