Invitation Including a Handwritten Letter from the Late Admor of Vizhnitz, Monsey

Invitation to the wedding of Rabbi Yitzchak Yochanan Hager, present day Admor of Vizhnitz Monsey – Williamsburg.

Postmarked Brooklyn, 1972, there is a signed note on the invitation from his illustrious father, Rabbi Mordechai Hager of Vizhnitz – Monsey.

Rabbi Yitzchak Yochanan married the daughter of Rabbi Moshe Halberstam of Kivyashed – Williamsburg, a descendant of Rabbi David of Krshanov who was a son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.

Rabbi Mordechai Hager of Vizhnitz (1922 – 2018) was one of the prodigious
admorim of our generation. He was the son of the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz and was raised in the lap of his holy grandfather, the Ahavas Yisrael of Vizhnitz. He also studied under Rabbi Yoel of Satmar and considered him his rabbi. He immigrated to the United States, and beginning in the year 1971, served as the Admor in Monsey until his recent passing.
