Letter of Recommendation from the Admor Rabbi Tzvi Aryeh Twersky of Berditchev

Long letter of recommendation praising a
shochet ubodek from the city of Bardichev, signed in the handwriting of the Admor Rabbi Hirsch Leib (Tzvi Aryeh) Twersky of Berditchev.

The letter describes the
shochet ubodek’s yearning to immigrate to Eretz Yisrael "
because of his fear for his soul and the souls of his household, less it be contaminated, heaven forbid, with the impurity of the air of the land of the nations..."

Rabbi Hirsch Leib Twersky of Berditchev was the son of Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Twersky of Berditchev; son of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak of Makarov who was a son-in-law of Rabbi Yehoshua of Belze.
Rabbi Hirsch Leib served as Admor of Bardichev and passed away in 1938.
