Letter of blessing signed by Rabbi Baruch Asher Twersky of Chernobyl.
Rabbi Baruch Asher Twersky, son of Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl, succeeded his father’s rabbinical position in 1872, becoming leader to thousands of devoted followers. He was a tremendous Torah scholar and discoursed in Halacha with his cousin, Rabbi Mordechai Dov of Hornestiple.
It is believed among Chassidim that the famed Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl passed his power of blessing on to his son, Rabbi Aharon, who in turn passed it to his son, Rabbi Baruch Asher.
