Unconventional Invitation to the Wedding of Rabbi Aharon of Sadigura’s Daughter
An invitation to the wedding of Esther, daughter of Rabbi Aharon of Sadigura, from her mother, Rebbetzin Sara Shaindle (daughter of Rabbi Shalom Yosef of Husiatyn) and the bride’s brother, the Admor Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef of Sadigura.
This wedding, which seems to have taken place in 1923, occurred years following the death of Rabbi Aharon, and is therefore signed by the bride’s mother and brother alone.
The wedding took place in Vienna which is where the Ruzhin dynasty escaped to during the First World War.
Rabbi Aharon of Sadigura was the son of Rabbi Yisrael of Sadigura and grandson of the first Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, who was a son of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. He passed away in 1912 at the young age of thirty-six and authored the
sefer Kedushas Aharon.
