Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shimloy (1863 – 1944) was a famous Torah scholar and
tzaddik . He was born in Beregovo and raised in the courtyards of his illustrious grandfather, the Kol Aryeh. He served as rabbi of Shimloy until he tragically perished along with his community in Auschwitz in 1944 Being a prolific writer, his Torah was published in Responsa Lechem Shlomo, Even Shlomo on the Raban, Even Shlomo on Torah, Tiyul B’Pardes, Drashos Lechem Shlomo and others.
