Long handwritten and signed letter of Torah novellae regarding Shabbos from the Halachic master, Rabbi Yitzchak Meltzan.

This letter was sent during his tenure in Slabodka and is addressed to a friend, Rabbi Yaakov David Rapaport, son-in-law of Rabbi Yosef Zecharia Stern.

Rabbi Yitzchak Meltzan (1854 – 1916) was the son of the Maggid of Slotzk, author of Even Shlomo. A disciple of Rabbi Yisrael Salanter, he was one of the first ten members of Kollel Ha’avreichim in Slabodka. He served for a time as

He became well-known for disseminating the writings of the Vilna Gaon and of the Mussar movement, and most notably, for publishing the Gra Siddur – Ishei Yisrael, which includes his Siach Yitzchak commentary.
