The name of the illustrator is signed on the margin.
Rabbi Dov Ber Meisles (1797 – 1869) was one of the prominent leaders of his generation and from the illustrious Meisles family. He served as rabbi of Krakow and later of Warsaw during which time he did much for the benefit of Polish Jewry. His letters were published in Chidushei Mahardam on Sefer Hamitzvos.
