Mizbeach Hazahav, Antique Segula Sefer, Basel 1602.

"WHEN THE SEDER  PITUM HAKETORES WILL BE DISCOVERED AND SPREAD IN THE WORLD, THEN EVERY DISEASE AND EVERY PLAGUE WILL IMMEDIATELY BE REMOVED…"

Seder Pitum Haketores to be said at a time of plague and suffering with a Kabbalistic explanation by Rabbi Shlomo ben Mordechai, a disciple of the Maharshal.
This rare first edition printed in Basel, 1602, is one of the first sefarim to discuss the virtues of reciting the Pitum Haketores and its profound segulah.
Rabbi Shlomo writes in his introduction: "… I saw to it to precede the cure to the blow that should not arise, and I brought to print with the endorsement of leaders of the generations, to simulate the printers to print Seder Pitum Haketores along with my small treatise… In order that it should be found by every person as a bow and a security… And behold I hope that… when these Sidrei Pitum Haketores will be discovered and spread in the air of the world, then every illness and plague will be removed immediately …"

At the begining of the sefer there is the Seder Hatefilos with nikud, and a poem to be saved from affliction. There are also endorsements from the leading acharonim: the Baal Halevush, Kli Yakar, Mateh Moshe, the Smah and the Shlah.
