Talmudic Question from a Young Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky to the Chazon Ish
A Talmudic Question on tractate Yevamos 18b, asked by Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky to his uncle, the Chazon Ish, in his youth (probably Bar Mitzva age).
This is the first known letter from Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky.
On the reverse side of the page, the Chazon Ish wrote two names to mention while davening.
Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky grew up under the supervision of his illustrious uncle, the Chazon Ish. He enjoyed a close relationship with him, learned with him, and even lived with him for a short period. In his writings he mentions thousands of customs he had witnessed by the Chazon Ish and supported his halachic rulings.
