Rare Historical Notebook Signed by Many Prominant Rabbis and Admorim from Across Europe, 1909 – 1928

Notebook of recommendations belonging to the rabbinic messenger Rabbi Masoud ben Shimon, Av Beis Din of Egypt, used on his travels soliciting for an old age home in Tzfas.
Rabbi Massoud used this notebook for eighteen years during which time he embarked on three trips to Europe, traveling through England, Italy, Rome, Germany and Belgium among others.
The notebook begins with an illustrated title page followed by two short handwritten endorsements from Rabbi Yaakov David Wilovsky (Ridvaz) of Tzfas. There are also letters of recommendation from the British Vice-Consul in Tzfas, the French consulate in Tzfas and Tveria, the Vice-Consul in Persia and others.
The notebook is chockfull of signatures and recommendations from prominent rabbis and Admorim from all across Europe, as well as from the leaders of Tzfas; both Ashkenazic and Sephardic.
Also included are the official letters regarding his mission, the institution's regulations handbook written in Hebrew, Yiddish, English and German, hundreds of signatures from donors, institutions and organizations, other solicitors and heads of communities from all across Europe.
