Personal invitation from Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, Admor of Vizhnitz, Including a Letter from His Rebbetzin
An invitation from Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager of Vizhnitz to the wedding of his grandson, Rabbi Yisrael Ernster, with the daughter of the Admor of Amshinov.
Rabbi Chaim Meir signed a personal note on the invitation to a relative. Dated 1969, this invitation was sent out two years prior to his death and his difficulty writing is clearly evident in the signature.
There is also a personal letter in Yiddish written on the backside of the invitation by his wife, Rebbetzin Margalit, daughter of Rabbi Zev Twersky (granddaughter of Rabbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka).
Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager (1887 – 1972) was the son of Rabbi Yisrael of Vizhnitz and author of Imrei Chaim. He succeeded his father as Admor of Vizhnitz and re-established the chassidus after the Holocaust. In 1946 he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael where he re established Vizhnitz institutions and served at the helm of the Chareidi sector.
