Rabbi Yehuda Assad (1796 – 1866) was one of the great rabbinical leaders of Hungary and an exceptionally righteous and pious scholar. He was Chief Rabbi of Serdaheli and followed the ways of the Chasam Sofer in the fight against assimilation.
