A Halachic response regarding an agunah from the city of Kleinwardein, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Shalom Mordechai Hacohen, Av Beis Din of Brezhan, known as the 'MaHarasham' .
The question was posed to him by Rabbi Naftali Sofer-Shreiber, dayan of Kleinwardein, and is handwritten on the other side of the letter.
Since the matter was urgent, Rabbi Shalom Mordechai responded on Chol Hamoed.
The response was later published without the original question and with slight changes and omissions.
Rabbi Naftali Sofer-Shreiber, author of Mateh Naftali, was a student of the Ksav Sofer and the Maharam Schick. He served as a dayan in Kleinwardein.
