A letter of encouragement and blessings to a Bar Mitzvah boy, signed by Rabbi Yoel of Satmar.
"May the boy grow up to be pious, righteous and learned in Torah, and well wishes for a good year."
This undated letter is written on the Satmar Rebbe's personal stationary with his signature.
Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum (1887 – 1979), also known as the Divrei Yoel, was the Admor of Satmar and one of the few chassidic leaders who survived the war. He was a great scholar, learned in all sections of the Torah. He built his chassidus from scratch, establishing communities in both Israel and America. He also served as president of the Eidah Chareidis in Jerusalem and was an avid opponent of the Zionistic movement and the secular government in Israel.
