Torah thoughts and explanations on the Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim from Rabbi Eliya Shapira, considered one of the most thorough sefarim on Orach Chaim.
The last page is a sampler of his composition on Yoreh Dei'ah which was burned at the start of its printing with only one surviving page.
Originally composed based on the Levush, it was reorganized by his student according to the Shulchan Aruch.
The title page is illustrated with biblical figures and many artistic motifs and is considered from the nicest title pages of Ashkenazic printing.
Rabbi Eliya Shapira was a Rosh Mesivta and lecturer in Prague. He was the son of Rabbi Binyamin Wolf, Av Beis Din of Pihem, and grandson of Rabbi Aharon Shimon, Av Beis Din and Rosh Mesivta in Prague.
