הערכה: $2,000 - $3,000
Touching and historic letter signed by the Rabbis of Tzefas describing the hardship and devastation following the Safed Arab Pogroms of 1834.

The massacres spanned 36 days during which Arabs slaughtered hundreds of Jews and destroyed and desecrated shulls, Sifrei Torah, and sefarim.
Included in the letter is the signature of Rabbi Zarchia Nissim Azoulay, author of the Shulchan Hatahor and grandson of the Chida. He served as a rabbi first in Turkey and later in Tzefas. He was killed in the 1837 earthquake.
In addition, there are signatures by Rabbi Avraham Anhuri who was the Av Beis Din of Tzefas, and Rabbi Chaim Yosef Tzarfati, both of whom were later killed in the earthquake, as well as Rabbi Yaakov Ben Shimon, Rabbi Avraham Chasson, Rabbi Chaim Shalom Franko and Rabbi Avraham Bechar Rachamim.
