Letter from Rabbi Shimon Yisrael Posen to Strengthen in Chassidus

A long, letter written in yiddish by Rabbi Shimon Yisrael Posen, Av Beis Din of Shopron.

In the letter, he encourages his student to strengthen himself in the ways of chassidus and thus be saved from the winds of change. He asks him not to be influenced by his brother who was following the path of the Lithuanian yeshivah world which was not in accordance with the ways of chassidus

Rabbi Shimon Yisrael Posen (1892 – 1969) was the Av Beis Din of Shopron where he upheld a yeshivah after the war. He was a disciple of Rabbi Yoel Falner and later of the Minchas Elazar of Munkatch who introduced him to chassidus. He was a great scholar and kabbalist. He eventually immigrated to America where he served as Rosh Yeshiva of Satmar and Rabbi in Williamsburg.
