In it, Rabbi Ephraim Halevi praises his brother-in-law's work after having looked over copies that arrived from the printer.

Rabbi Ephraim Halevi Bilitzer (1892 – 1947) was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Lash, Av Beis Din of Betlan and disciple of the Daas Sofer of Pressburg. He served as a Rosh Mesivta in his father-in-law's yeshivah and later as a community Dayan. He was killed in the Holocaust.
