Letter of Chiddushei Torah and Rabbinic Issues Handwritten by the Ga'on Rabbi Itzele of Ponevezh

 A long handwritten letter by Rabbi Yitzchak Ya'akov Rabinovitch, known in the Torah world as Reb Itzele of Ponevezh, author of Sefer Zecher Yitzchak.

Letter from 1914. [1] Leaf size 20:14 cm. Written on both sides; small tears affecting text. The letter deals with an attempt to help the "Gaon Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak…" to find a rabbinate in one of the Lithuanian communities, as well as Torah novellae on the topic of Chalitza.
The Gaon Rabbi Itzele Ponevizher (1854-1919) was a wonderous genius from his youth, one of the most prominent Torah teachers in Lithuanian yeshivas He was one of the leaders of the generation, along with the Chafetz Chaim and the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer of Vilna (see: Raboseinu Shebagolah, p. 186).
